Becoming…

a little girl once more gleaming at the beauty of the morning..
echoing the sounds of silence..
caressing the heat of the sun!
savoring the sweetness of a smile..

Unfolding…

the adolescent in me as I unlearn the lessons of the past..
struggle for balance..
envelope my present..
capture my future…

Journeying…

within.

Return to Love

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so
that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other
people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.”

:-)

It isn’t me.

It never was me.

It may be me.

But never me.

The overwhelming feeling.

The struggle.

The power.

It is me!

And then the feeling of weakness.

The tiredness.

The weariness.

The stillness…

And then the knowing;

The surrendering.

It isn’t me.

Not me but in me.

The One.

The love.

The happiness and joy.

The silence.

The end.

My version of an affair to remember.. Short lived but worth remembering..

Amidst the ocean of souls.
I met you.
Found warmth in the cloak of your embrace.
Solace in your presence.

You made me free.
To be my truest.
You made me believe.
I found my twin.
My long-lost one.
Innocent, clueless, fragile and wanting. I have fallen.
Danced with joy and gladness as I woke up in your arms.
As butterfly kisses caressed my being.

As you allowed me to be me.
I love you.
With all my soul…

Let it be forever.. I pray…

But you seem to flutter your wings to freedom once more.
As you leave me thirsting for more.
Enough! Time says stop.
But my mind refuses to adhere.
My heart longs for you, yearns for you, cries out for you.
I see you see me hurting. But knowingly gives in to time..

In your piece you are clear. I understand.

As it is for the best.
I face my reality.
Knowing in my heart and soul, you are there, found and would stay forever…
As time be our guide.
To eternity…

P.S. Who would have guessed there’s truth or pure lies in this piece? Who would have imagined it was ever real? Guess none.. not even me.. But i write..

Homecoming

Home is where the heart is…
As we search for happiness.. we ran to all sides of the world.. in our hearts there will always be a place we call home..
Place where we can be freely – ourselves
Place where what matters most is peace and love..
Place where we can rest our wings.. our souls..

Homecoming

Been flying the high
and lows

As all seasons just
come and go

Where mortals may
fear to tread

Aisles to hell which
every man dread

Flying closer towards
the light of ‘morrow.

Wings spread as if in
solemn meditation

Upon the earth below
and wild vegetation

Soaring to heavens
where souls will climb one day

Or descend to hell
below of lesser god’s home maybe

But still these wings
casting shadows in mock condemnation.

In the seemingly
endless flights to emptiness

Wings drooped eyes
closed in harried weariness

Yet soaring once more
to where angels live

And descend to hell
where fallen stars saved

In the final act of
prayer in the air there’s stillness.

One soul in its final
act of soaring

find the way to
homecoming.

Do I make u proud?

I've never been
The one to raise my hand
That was not me
And now that's who I am
Because of you, I am standing tall

My heart is full
Of endless gratitude
You were the one
The one to guide me through
Now I can see
And I believe it's only just beginning

This is what we dreamed about
But the only question with me now
Is do I make you proud?
Stronger than I've ever been now
Never be afraid of standing out
Do I make you proud?

I guess I've learned
To question is to grow

That you still have faith
Is all I need to know
I've learned to love
Myself despite of me
And I've learned to walk
The road that I believe

Everybody needs to rise up
Everybody needs to be loved, to be loved

This is what we dream about
But the only question with me now
Is do I make you, do I make you proud?

This is what we dreamed about
But the only question with me now
Is do I make you proud?

Stronger than I've ever been now
Never be afraid of standing out
Do I make you proud?

This is not mine, this is the lyrics of Do I make you proud,

the last song sang by Taylor Hicks, in American Idol finals…

I like how he sing songs, I like the song too, Do I make you

proud?

Standing out, fulfilling dreams, rising up, loving,

And then, after all’s been said, done and acted on and upon,

The question remains, Do I make you proud?

Probably if we are to ask the same question to our Maker

at the end of our life, Lord, do I make you proud?

And receive the same applause and the same warmness

and standing ovation from Him… Wow!

Taylor Hicks, makes American people and viewers of the show

from all over the world proud, because he did win! 🙂

And it reminds me of what this life is all about, not much on

winning and/or losing but more on winning and/or winning,

haha. (as we learn the lessons in between) 🙂
